Jupiter protects by understanding. In the houses it rules from the lagna, it often carries marriage, home, children or fortune, depending on the ascendant. A weak Jupiter does not cancel those houses. It means the promise needs support from sign, aspect and dasha. The charts mark Jupiter as a natural benefic.
Yellow sapphire is the stone classically tied to Jupiter. It is discussed when Jupiter is worth strengthening. It is not a substitute for reading which houses Jupiter rules in that chart.
