Natural malefic
Surya
- Soul, confidence and self-respect
- Father, government and people in authority
- Status, recognition and leadership
- Heat, eyesight and the tone of health
The Sun shows where a person wants to be seen and how they carry authority. A strong Sun gives steadiness and a clean sense of duty. A pressed Sun shows friction with father or officials, pride, or a health tone that runs hot. Read it by sign, house and the planets sitting with it. The lagna decides whether that solar strength helps the chart.
Ruby is the stone classically tied to the Sun. It is discussed when the Sun is a help in that chart, such as a lagna lord or a yogakaraka. It is not a general ornament. Wearing it against a harmful Sun can sharpen ego and disputes.
